This is a strange sensation it feels like there are 2 tennis balls strapped under your arm and occasionally you get a stabbing pain , can only take pain killers to help relieve pain and sleeping with a pillow under the arm also eases the pain.
One problem after drain is removed is the build up of Fluid around the breast wound , I visited the breast clinic on 5 occasions to have this fluid removed with a needle and syringe, gradually drawing off the fluid, once done each time the tightness is reduced.
28/4- 80mls , 30/4- 45ml , 4/5- 95ml , 6/5 – 50ml & finally 10/5- 25ml
The arm is the most painful and uncomfortable part of operation, plus as on right hand side (My stronger side before the Op ) makes some tasks difficult. No more lifting heavy weights with one arm , so learning to do more left handed.
